We previously brought you news about a new CD Balzac was working on containing new recordings of some of their oldest material. We now have a title (’The Birth of Evil’) and a more complete track listing. The CD will include an entire re-recording of their 1992 & 1994 demo cassette tapes. These were first recorded for inclusion on the discs that came with Balzac’s Complete Legacy Books. But, they have all be re-mixed and mastered for this new release. On top of this, more never-before-recorded songs have been added to the track list (see below).This CD will come out on December 5th (the same day as their new DVD, ‘Hatred Lies Deep Inside’).

Balzac will release their European Hatred Tour Documentary DVD on December 5th. It will feature videos for every single track included on the band’s album, “Hatred”. Never before have so many promotional videos been recorded for one album! The DVD will also include a tour documentary following the band on tour in August of this year.
Word is there will also be a 666mm jacket for this DVD available in Japan through Shocker (ltd. to 66!).
Last year Balzac completely re-recorded the songs from their first two demo tape releases (’92 & ‘93) and released them as bonus discs that came with their “Complete Legacy” Books. Fans have long wanted to be able to purchase the CD alone, and their wishes are about to come true. On December 5th Balzac will release all of those recordings, plus a few other never previously recorded in studio tracks. See the track listing below. The CD has not yet been titled.

Balzac will release a CD celebrating the 10th anniversary of their hit album, “13 STAIRWAY” on December 29th. The CD will be available at the band’s performance at the Shinjuku Loft in Tokyo. There will also be a DVD making the special edition a 2-disc set!
The DVD will contain complete footage from gigs the band played in 1998. The CD will contain out-take recordings, demos and pre-production recordings. Fans can finally hear the demo versions of popular songs like “Nowhere #13″ and “Tomorrow”, which sounds very different from the album version!
October 31st actually marks the 10th anniversary of the release of “13 Stairway” album and Balzac will play a very special show on Halloween night at Shinjuku Loft to commemorate the release.
Gan-Shin, Balzac’s German record label released the first overseas version of Balzac’s latest album, “Hatred: Destruction-Construction”. The release is essentially the same as the regular edition Japanese release. The tracklist is also identical.

Balzac is putting out a new DVD entitled ‘15 Years of Unholy Darkness Tour 2007′ which will be the 2008 Fiendish Club application present in Japan! To get this DVD you must be a member of the Japanese Fiendish Club.
The live footage comes from the Japanese tour in the spring of 2007 and was edited by yours truly! Overseas fans can view a portion of the DVD online at the Fiendish Club International website! You must be a member of the FCi to view them!

The set is very special and had been a long time in the making. The set of “two-tone” Skullman has brought new life to the original Skullman sculpt. The set was also available in Japan through Shocker!!!, though the FCi set comes with a special limited edition box which is stamped with the purchaser’s name and numbered! Sabretooth, fronted by Akio’s brother, Tadashi, will once again share the stage with Balzac this July when BAlzac visits Okayama. Sabretooth released their first full-length album, ‘Crush’ in 2007. They will play together on July 19th PEPPER LAND in Okayama.
Balzac will be playing with 雷矢 (’Raiya’) on their upcoming ‘HATRED’ Tour. The two bands have also recorded a split ‘demo’ single together and it will be for sale at three of the shows on the tour. 雷矢 does a fantastic cover of the classic Balzac song ‘Human Blood’, while Balzac covers the 雷矢 song ‘Unfeeling Blood’! Below are the respective bands playing their own tunes… you will need to get your hands on the limited edition CD to hear how the covers turn out! For those of you that have been following Balzac for years, you may know that these two bands have played together before - many years ago. The idea of a split single was actually discussed between the two bands more than 13 years ago. Finally, the plans have become a reality!
