2010.05.26 - INTO THE LIGHT OF THE 13 DARK NIGHT Commemorative Box Set



Last year was the 10 year anniversary of the ever popular, and always classic, 'INTO THE LIGHT OF THE 13 DARK NIGHT' maxi-single. During a show at the Shinjuku Loft the band gave out a special 'making of' CD to those who attended. A new version of the CD is about to be released, and included in a box set. Even more unreleased takes will be included on the track list. As well as live versions from the initial 1999 tour promoting the maxi-single will make their way to a special edition DVD. A new reprint of the original t-shirt (with Usugrow artwork) sold to promote the album will also be printed and included in the box set. Each box set will be numbered and sold in limited edition. The set will be available through Shocker World Wide, and must be pre-ordered between July 1st and July 12th. All sets will ship on August 13th.

2010.05.26 - SHOCK & HORROR Monthly Series II



The next SHOCK & HORROR Monthly Series will begging shortly, entitled, ´SECOND SEASON OF THE DEAD: Live Archives´. The first set will go on sale June 13th at Shocker World Wide. As with the first series, each set will be on sale from the 13th to 12th of the next month.

Whereas the last series was a set containing a CD and T-Shirt, this time around Balzac have decided to up the ante - each set will come with a DVD with 4-5 live videos and a t-shirt! The first set includes footage from Takayuk´s first live show in Nagoya back in 2001.

Most of the footage will be unreleased live video from the past (2001 to present day), and the t-shirts will continue with the horror film theme that was set in the first series! The first t-shirt will be Frankenstein-themed, and the DVD that comes with it is from a One-Man performance of the band at Nagoya´s Huck Finn club. The atmosphere of the show was very lively and it comes through in the footage, which was shot from the stage. Some of the song arrangements are different compared to the versions we know today. There was a bit of trouble during this performance and it was one reason that live footage has never officially been released... until now.
